Katie Feels Betrayed by Brooke’s Lack of Support
Tuesday’s episode delivers one of the most emotionally charged scenes of the week as Katie confronts the painful realization that Brooke is not in her corner—not when it comes to her career, and not when it comes to her future.
Katie’s Frustration Boils Over
The episode picks up in the aftermath of Bill’s pitch for Katie to return to Spencer Publications. Katie is already rattled by being quietly replaced as Head of PR at Forrester, something she still feels blindsided and disrespected by. When she turns to her sister—someone she expects understanding and loyalty from—she instead finds a wall.

Katie visits Brooke at the Forrester offices, hoping for comfort or at least validation. She updates Brooke about the changes at Forrester, about Bill wanting her back at Spencer, and about how conflicted she feels. But Brooke’s response is cool, distracted, and surprisingly dismissive.
Brooke gently suggests that Katie might be “overreacting,” and reminds her how “lucky” she is to even have the support of two powerful companies. Katie’s face falls. She tells Brooke she needs understanding—not minimising. Brooke simply doesn’t see why Katie is upset about “a job shift that happens all the time at Forrester.”
Katie Realizes Brooke Isn’t On Her Side
Katie begins venting—not about the job, but about the principle of the matter. She explains how hard she’s worked at Forrester, how dedicated she’s been, and how humiliating it feels to be replaced without warning.

Brooke tries to soothe her by saying “Ridge and I just chose someone with a different direction in mind,” which only makes things worse.
Katie steps back, stunned. This is the moment she realises it wasn’t just Forrester making the decision—Brooke was part of it.
Her voice cracks as she tells Brooke she expected her sister to stand up for her, to fight for her spot, or at the very least acknowledge that the process was unfair. Brooke places a hand on Katie’s arm, attempting reassurance, but Katie pulls away.

Katie Feels Alone—And Angry
The conversation escalates as Katie’s emotions spill out. She tells Brooke she feels dismissed, overshadowed, and unsupported. She confesses she was hoping Brooke would be the one person who understood the hurt of being pushed aside after giving so much.
Brooke insists she loves Katie and always supports her, but Katie fires back:
“Support isn’t just loving me. It’s showing up for me when it matters.”
Katie storms out, wiping away frustrated tears—emotionally drained, and now deeply uncertain about her future at Forrester.

The Fallout Begins
The episode ends with Katie alone at Spencer Publications, quietly processing her anger as she stares out over the city. Bill notices the tension in her face and gently tells her:
“You don’t have to stay anywhere you aren’t valued.”
Katie is left torn between the family company that let her down… and the man who wants her back at Spencer—both professionally and personally.
