The episode opens inside Spencer Publications, high above Los Angeles, where Bill’s familiar presence fills the executive suite. He is pacing behind his desk, waiting for Katie to arrive. He already knows she’s upset — and he plans to use that emotion to bring her home to Spencer.
Katie steps off the elevator with a storm already in her eyes. She barely sets her handbag down before she starts venting. She tells Bill that she was blindsided at Forrester Creations when she learned she was being quietly replaced as the head of PR. She explains how Ridge and Brooke framed it as “restructuring,” but to her, it felt like betrayal.
In this moment, the tension between Bill and Katie is palpable, revealing the deep history they share.

Bill listens intently, arms folded, watching her with that mix of protectiveness and strategic opportunity. When she finishes ranting, she turns away and rubs her forehead — embarrassed at how emotional she became. But Bill simply tells her he’s glad she came to him.
Bill steps closer and reminds her that she built Spencer’s PR department from the ground up. He says she made Spencer strong, she made Spencer feared, respected, and clean — and that she belongs in the building she helped define. He tells her that the bond between Bill and Katie runs deeper than just business; it’s personal, and she deserves loyalty, not constant dismissal from Ridge and Brooke.

Katie tries to push back, insisting she’s loyal to Forrester, but her voice doesn’t carry conviction. Bill sees it. He tells her that Forrester only values the Forresters. That she will always be the outsider. And that she’s now the first to suffer because of it.
Katie sighs heavily and confesses that she is hurt — deeply hurt — that she wasn’t even consulted or warned. She admits it felt humiliating. Bill places his hands on her shoulders and tells her that at Spencer, she will never be an afterthought.

Then comes the moment he’s been planning: Bill says he wants Katie to return to Spencer Publications as a full executive partner. He wants her vision, her leadership, and her influence. And more than that — he wants their son to join them.
He tells her he wants Will to come onboard as well.
He says the three of them could run Spencer together — a power family, in every sense of the word.
Katie’s eyes soften at that. The idea of working alongside her son appeals to her, but she reminds Bill that Will is still interning at Forrester Creations. He’s just started learning the ropes, and he enjoys collaborating with Electra. The bond between Will and Electra is growing stronger by the day, and he feels valued there.

Katie tells Bill that Will is already torn — he loves the Forrester environment, the fashion energy, and the creativity that flows through the building. Electra has been a mentor, a friend, and a grounding force.
Bill waves that off. He says Forrester is manipulating Will the same way they manipulated Katie. He believes it’s only a matter of time before they try to keep Will permanently — and he refuses to lose his son to Ridge Forrester of all people.
Katie admits she has the same fear. She confesses that part of her feels Will is being drawn into the Forrester world too deeply. She doesn’t want him being influenced by the constant drama, the rivalry, or the Forrester ego clashes.
That’s when Bill delivers the final push:
He tells her the Spencer legacy belongs to Will, not to Ridge, not to Thomas, not to anyone at Forrester. And if they want their son’s future to be secure, they need to bring him home now — while he’s still moldable.

Katie finally breaks. She tells Bill he’s right. She agrees to come back to Spencer Publications, admitting that Forrester has made her feel disposable for too long. Bill smiles — a proud, almost triumphant smile — but also a relieved one.
Katie tells him she will talk to Will, but she warns Bill that Will may resist. He genuinely enjoys working at Forrester with Electra, and the internship has given him purpose during the chaos of Luna’s death.
Bill says he doesn’t care how conflicted Will feels — he will not let Forrester sink its claws into another Logan.
Katie agrees, but she remains worried. She knows Will’s heart is in a fragile place. His bond with Electra is one of the few things keeping him steady. Pulling him away may cause damage neither of them intended.
Still, the decision is made. Katie and Bill shake hands — a symbolic return to their workplace partnership.
